This is an inert, odourless, entirely dust-free product consisting of chunks or chips of hardwood. It is far less risky than softwood flake for the respiratory system of small animals such as my mice, but I would get the medium grain next time rather than the XXL as the XXL is a bit like walking on a pebbly beach for them. The XXL would be better for an aviary or similar. The downside is that this bedding will not hold tunnels. This is the Chipsi bedding that I will be buying again.

I use this for the bottom of my bird avairy, it is a lot less dusty like most other products as well as the extremely fast shipment all round all my experiences with zooplus have been fantastic
