Feeding guide

Feeding recommendation / Feeding guide
PAWS & PATCH Slippery Elm Bark is a single ingredient food for dogs & cats.

The powder is not fed directly. A syrup is made with the slippery elm bark powder. This syrup is administered several times a day before feeding. For the syrup, the powder is dosed according to the package instructions and brought to the boil with water. In the case of high-quality elm bark powder, the boiling produces a thick syrup. This syrup is administered directly after cooling.

PREPARATION OF SYRUP
Put the powder with water into a small steel pot and mix well. Simmer for approx. 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool and divide into 2 portions (morning & evening).

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION / FEEDING GUIDE PER ANIMAL PER DAY
Pour the syrup onto a small plate and allow to lick off. Alternatively, pour directly into the mouth of the animal. Administer in the morning and evening 15 - 30 minutes before feeding. Do not mix with food. When feeding for the first time, start with 50% of the daily dose. One measuring spoon (ML) is enclosed with the product, this corresponds approximately to 1 g.

Cats: 1.5 ML with 75 ml water
Dogs up to 10 kg: 2 ML with 100 ml water
Dogs 10 - 20 kg: 4 ML with 200 ml water
Dogs over 20 kg: 6 ML with 300 ml water

The general Feeding recommendation / Feeding guide are given as a guideline. They may vary slightly depending on the age, breed, feeding or activity of the animal.
