How to switch your dog to a new recipe:
If you are switching your dog with diabetes from the current Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET w/d dog food to the new recipe, a seven-day changeover period is recommended in addition to regular diabetes monitoring.
For dogs fed Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET w/d dog food due to a condition that requires attention to the fat content of the diet, a seven-day switch to Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET i/d Low Fat is recommended.
Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Diabetes Care with Chicken dog food has a low-fat, reduced-calorie and high-fibre formula that can help your dog to lose weight. Enjoyable
My diabetic dog just loves this food - in fact my other dog does too ! It really has helped her reduce and maintain her weight and seems delicious to her too.

Delighted with this product
Was trying another brand of diabetic food and my yorkie was getting over weight which wasn't helping his diabetes, he is insulin dependent,, give this food a try, he is a normal weight now and way happier dog, shall be sticking with this product

we used this food for over 6 years for our Diabetic dog. It was wonderful and even though we lost her at 12 years old we felt without it we would have lost her sooner. The really good thing was that she liked it.

Amazing!
Our vet recommended this product for our English Springer Spaniel who has colitis. His loose motions were horrendous and we were on 'pins' taking him anywhere. After only one meal the change was amazing. Now we are all happier. He was very hungry at first and he had to learn to eat more as he was underweight with his illness. I add a spoon of chappie meat and water. The food is very high in fibre and he does poo a lot but we can now pick them up and he is slowly putting on weight at last. Wonderful product.

Fantastic
My dog is a Labrador Husky mix and overweight by about 8kg. I tried this food on the advice of my vet and in the space of two weeks he has already lost 3kg! He has started to run without breathing hard and is more active! I had tried a different obesity food for 2 months but without results. She really loves this Hills food, her stools are more solid and she also doesn't have stinky breath any more! This is my second zooplus purchase and I'm very happy. Besides having great prices and a wide selection of brands and offers, the deliveries have all been reliable and punctual.

weight control
I was recommended this product by my vet for weight control for my Westie it has worked in the past and would use it again if i need to,the food it self is kind to his tummy and cured his flatulence.

Vet says they have to have it.......
.....so they have to have it! To be honest, I'm not that impressed with the food itself. I have 2 spaniels both with sensitive bladders and having had a string of illnesses, the vet recommended hills wd. Since using it neither has been ill again, but, they're hungry all the time and, well, my garden looks like they've invited all their friends around for a poop party! Seriously, at least 4 time as a day each! If I had a choice, I wouldn't use it!
Regards zooplus, as a first time customer, I found the website easy to use, the online ordering straightforward, and delivery was as stated. Price wise, very competitive; although I always shop around for the best deal, zooplus is now in my top 3 sites to price check.

good but problem
I love this food but I need a smaller size, I have a toy poodle and a 1.5kg bag usually lasts more than a month, so 12kg is too big for us!

Frida
Our 9 year old dog Frida is alive thanks to this product and insulin from the vet. She was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago, and is almost blind, but she now has an amazing vitality thanks to this food. The only downside is that it's quite expensive.

For Lola's diabetes
We've been using this product for our 9 year old dog Lola for nearly 15 months since her diagnosis of diabetes. The food combined with insulin treatment seems to give great results. The 12kg pack is well designed with a zipper fastening for freshness and a carrying handle.
