It contains reduced levels of protein and minerals, and has been specially developed to relieve strain on your dog's metabolism and help to prevent urinary gravel and kidney stones. The added immune complex contains mannans and beta glucans to help stabilise your dog's gut flora and strengthen their immune system.
Adult dogs that suffer from problems with their urinary system (kidneys and ureter) or liver metabolism require a special diet designed to reduce metabolic waste products, thereby relieving strain on these organs. Thanks to its extremely low protein content (13%), composed of high-quality proteins, as well as the food's reduced mineral levels (incl. phosphorous, sodium and magnesium), bosch Special Light complete dog food is suitable for long-term feeding. This wheat-free kibble is made from specially selected ingredients, which are carefully processed to preserve their delicious taste. For extra peace of mind, the products of animal origin are sourced exclusively from animals fit for human consumption.

Fussy Penny
12 year old Jack Russell with stage kidney failure lapped this up, she’s only been on dry food for the last year and would only pick around the food. First day with this Bosch food and she loved it.

Very good food
Our 14 year old bitch has always had diarrhoea and gets medication from the vets...but after switching to Special Light, the diarrhoea is gone. She still needs to take tablets but we can already half the dose.

Very recommendable
My 8 year old Labrador suffers from being overweight and osteoarthritis. He should lose weight as quickly as possible according to the vet. Between mid-February and mid-April he lost 4.5kg. I cannot recommend Bosch highly enough. Once your dog has reached its ideal weight, the manufacturer also provides you with feeding guidelines for weight maintenance. The price is also good.

New to this but fingers crossed
My Miniature Schnauzer has raised liver enzymes so changed from senior to this food to see if it improves things due to lowered protein. I have three other dogs, westie and 2 other minis who all like the food so far so hoping it will be ok for them all. They can all put on weight as they are getting older so the lowered calories is good too

Bosch
My elderly English Bull terrier has been ill for a few months. She has had extensive tests carried out. A scan and blood tests revealed a heart murmur, poor lungs and reduced kidney function. The medication is being slowly reduced. I was looking for a good quality, low protein food and am I glad I found this one. Kara loves it and is thriving, her kidney function is greatly improved and she is looking good again. Thankyou.
