Product description

Grain-free, single-protein dry cat food, with 90% meat content and chicken as the only source of animal protein. This easily digested food is rich in taurine and salmon oil and suitable for all cats.

thrive PremiumPlus Dry Cat Food – Chicken is a complete food for cats of all breeds and lifestages. It contains 90% meat, which is an exceptionally high meat content for this type of cat nutrition. The recipe contains everything that you would expect from a premium cat food, without any unnecessary extras, offering your cat an easy to digest and balanced nutrition with premium chicken, sweet potato and potato, as well as essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.

thrive PremiumPlus Dry Cat Food – Chicken is completely grain free and contains all of the essential vitamins and minerals that your cat needs, as well as vital taurine, which your cat’s system cannot produce in sufficient quantities by itself.

Cats are true carnivores, so they need to eat foods that provide them with the appropriate meat-based nutrients. Standard cat foods are mainly high in carbohydrate with a lower protein content. Thrive PremiumPlus uses modern production technologies and processes to make sure that the protein content of Thrive PremiumPlus is noticeably higher than other grain free cat foods (90%). It is also a single protein food product, that only contains protein from chicken.

The food includes a small amount of low-carbohydrate sweet potato or potato to help to bind the animal proteins. All of the ingredients are low in fat, hypoallergenic and very easy to digest – perfect for cats that may have problems digesting grains such as wheat.

Thrive PremiumPlus Dry Cat Food – Chicken at a glance:

  • Easy to digest: contains very little carbohydrate from low-sugar sweet potato and potato varieties, which are only used to bind the proteins

  • Omega-3 and Omega-6: for healthy skin and a shiny coat
  • Taurine: promotes good heart and brain function and good eyesight, even in old age

Very good ingredients
My cat hates supermarket dry food I believe because he doesn’t like to eat it but then he lines this with high content of chicken. Sadly zooplus doesn’t stock their turkey mix chicken version and it’s rather expensive on this website.

cat is constantly hungry
Have been using this product for the last 6 years. My cat has been exceptionally healthy and hungry. Seems like he's never full on Thrive.

On the fence
Been feeding this to my two cats for about 2 months, and they both love this food as well as the wet food. My problem is that since I ve started feeding them thrive they are constantly crying for more food, even within an hour of being fed, so I am unsure if this is because they like it so much or it is not satisfying their hunger. I am already feeding well over recommended amounts, so I ve decided to rate straight down the middle!

Didn't agree with cats' stomachs
This is possibly the best quality dry food out there, with a minimum of plant matter and the price is reasonable too. Unfortunately it made the litter trays unbearably stinky. From reading reviews of all types of cat foods it seems this is highly individual to the cat so I don't blame the food. Have now switched to another high meat brand and the issue is resolved.

Her new favourite
We've fed lilys kitchen for a while and my car loves it but it's pretty expensive. I ordered the double pack and she was sniffing the packet before I'd even opened it. I fed her a few handfuls from my hand and she was gobbling it as fast as she could. Normally she delicately picks them off my hand but with this I did get nibbles once or twice! Love that is very high meat content and being cheaper than lk is a bonus

wonderfully natural but
my cats have started having loads of hairballs since being on this- i can only assume because there is no roughage in it since its so chicken filled! unfortunately even the introduction of anti hairball treats and malt paste hasn't helped so i will have to try fixing some more natural anti hairball foods

The absolute best bar none
I have 4 cats. 1 fed raw, 1 mostly dry as he just will NOT eat enough wet & the other 2 have thrive wet. I wouldn't feed any dry food through choice, but, thrive is excellent. My little Burmese has IBD, if she manages to pinch a few kibbles when the Maine Coon drops one, it doesn't cause a flare up. She thrives on Thrive Wet & the big lump of a Coonie lad, Thrives on Thrive dry. I just wish they made bigger kibbles & bigger bags

Happy cats!
Tried this grain free food when Orijen was out of stock and it's our new fave - it's cheaper per kg and unlike Orijen is made in the UK- bonus!. I have 3 fussy ragdolls, one with very sensitive digestion and they all love it!

Best dry food for my cat
I haven't tried many brands of dry foods and favorite was Purina One but since I introduced Thrive he goes nuts over it and loves them as much as wet food.

Excellent quality cat food
My cats used to eat Lily's Kitchen dry food but they changed the recipe a while back & now they won't touch it so I've moved them across to Thrive (arguably a better quality even than LK) & well they are thriving!! Zooplus are the best priced so I will be buying from here now :)

shiny coat
As a cat sitter I tend to observe the various effects of the foods my clients feed their little masters. I have noticed that the Thrive cats have exceptionally shiny coats so I am now trying my cat on it. Given how varying the breed of cat I've seen in seemingly excellent health from this product I am presuming it is the food rather than the cat. The cats don't seem that excited by the food unless they have the Thrive powder sprinkled on top though. But this of course costs another £10!

Great
I have tried a few different brands of dry food for my kitten such as Applaws. However since they recently changed their formula it just wasn't the same anymore so I ended up looking for an alternative and found this. I really liked the high meat content as well as the other nutritional benefits and my kitten seemed to really enjoy it. Preto and I would recommend this brand.

Hidden Gem
I've tried high meat content dry food for my kitten during her 1st year; Applaws, Royal Canin, Orijen, Concept for Life and Thrive. All packs were finished and my kitten had no health problems whatsoever. So I am not going to criticize any of the brands above. However, Thrive tops the list on every single perspective. My kitten go crazy almost as if it is a wet food, it has 52% super high protein content and the brand is perceived as a top wet food producer. You pay standard £6 per kg. Bargain

Treats for a maze
We actually feed raw but wanted a very high meat item we could occasionally put in their puzzle mazes. Our six cats have taken to it well, I rattle the package and they know it's puzzle time and they all seem to enjoy the taste. All the cats have had no issues with it at all.
