The most important thing about a drinking fountain for cats and dogs is, of course, that the water provided is always fresh and clean. To ensure this, the TIAKI drinking fountains are equipped with filter pads made of foam and activated carbon. While the foam layer catches dirt, foreign matter and food residues from the water, the activated carbon ensures that impurities are removed from the tap water and unpleasant odours and tastes are reduced.

Cleaning the filter:
Remove the filter from the base section and rinse it. Do not wash the filter with soap. Please also clean the foam mats of the filter, otherwise the water will no longer be able to flow through the foam.
If the filter contains impurities or other foreign matter, replace it.
Replace the filter every three weeks or as soon as signs of saturation with foreign matter (impurities, food residues, hair, etc.) become recognisable. More frequent replacement may be necessary depending on the living environment or water quality, as well as if used by several animals.
