Cleaning the pump:
If you suspect the pump is dirty, open the pump and remove the impeller cover and impeller. Remove any dirt from the impeller and clean the impeller shaft with running water. Be careful when handling the impeller. If the pump causes noise, clean the pump as described above and fill the drinking water reservoir with plenty of water so that the pump is completely submerged. The pump must not run dry!
