Intersand Classic Unscented Cat Litter

Sticky, heavy, dirty. Will not use again. I don't understand the good reviews.

I don't understand the good reviews this litter gets. It is very heavy, and can't be composted; it does track, despite claims to the contrary; it does stick to the bottom of the tray, again despite the claim it doesn't, and it makes a nasty dark sticky mess; and the odour control is very poor. I will not buy this again.

Long lasting cats love it great for digging less smell

I've tried a few types of litter but none are perfect. This is the best I've found so far. Pros: clumps well, doesn't smell, a bag last quite a long time Cons: tracks quite a bit, needs cleaning out regularly or the litter gets stuck to the side of the tray

To be fair, if I had started off with this brand of cat litter I'd probably be happy. It clumps effectively and while it does track (ALL litter tracks to a degree) it is relatively minimal to other brands I've seen. It also seems to control odour equally well. However, I started off with World's Best Cat Litter and was shopping around for a replacement because WBCL is awesome but costly. As a result I wasn't quite delighted and have reverted back to WBCL. First of all, it's a lot denser than the corn grain so more weight doesn't mean it takes up as much space. But really I had two major problems with its performance: (1) stickiness - the clumps were not as neat as with WCBL, leaving sticky residue on the scoop, on the side of the litter box, and sometimes breaking up. I practically had to scrub my litter scoop with an old toothbrush to get rid of some of the clay, and similarly cleaning the slats on my overspill tray was not enjoyable. When it came to to change the litter box it was much messier than usual and because it's clay I couldn't just wash the remaining particles down the bathtub drain. This stickiness extended to finding small bits of clay stuck to the walls outside the (covered!) litter box and around the entrance. (2) dust - it does track a little, really no more than WCBL, but the problem with the dust isn't the tracking. WBCL is relatively coarse, and the finer dust tends to settle to the bottom of the box. Extreme Classic is much finer all around and scooping my large litter box often felt like I was kicking up a cloud of dust that I had to try and not breathe in. By the time it came to change the litter box there was literally a fine film of dust on top of the box. It doesn't feel pleasant and if push comes to shove, I'd rather have corn dust than clay dust around the place. Overall I found that litter box maintenance with Extreme Classic was just higher than with WBCL and while I am still looking to reduce costs, I am not sure I am happy with this particular trade off so I've gone back.

I got this litter to try out after using Cat's Best, and reading a review that said this one is better and doesn't track as much. In comparison, this is a very good cat litter but I am not decided if it is better or worse than Cat's Best. - Tracking: this also tracks, and gets kicked out of the tray compulsively, but as it is a sandy texture it is not as visible. Most of it tends to stay in the area around the tray. - Smell: Very little to no smell, very satisfied with this! Would say it is as good if not better than Cat's Best. - Clumping: The clumps are great, formed like little stones, very easy to remove when they are in the middle of the tray. If she pees on the sides, however, which she does do quite often, the clumps stick on the tray and on the scoop as well, and are a slimy mess to get out. Not being able to flush them down the loo is not a problem as such, just slighly less convenient. Overall it takes a bit more time to clean the tray & scoop than with Cat's Best, but involves a bit less time to sweep around the flat.

I tried the world's best cat litter, its really good in clumping but sometime sticks to my cats paws and leaves very stinky smells when they did their job. Extreme classic unscented cat litter really did a very good job in odor control and it doesn't really sticks on my cats paws but not really good in clumping. But i think it's still one of the best so far as my problem was i don't really like too much stinky smell going on in my house. Will definitely buy another one. Thanks.

Like the reviewer above, I've always used oko cat's best previously as it clumps well. However, within a week or so, the remaining litter always turned to dust, so inevitably, you would have to throw it all out. With this Extreme Classic, I don't have that problem anymore! And it does clump beautifully. One of my three cats jumped straight in after watching me change the litter tray with interest. Two sniffs and he was happily using the new litter. He seemed to love the way it felt on his paws too, judging by the amount of treading the was doing. One other major plus point is this one doesn't track at all like my last brand. Get it, you won't be disappointed!

It forms nice clumps and my cats love to use it. Definitely our favourite cat litter! Only problem I can think of is the fact that the Odour Lock doesn't work.

...we've used!!! Super good at absorbing smell, clumping very well and as close to dust free a sand can be. Our cats love it, and so does the rest of the family. I'm so glad at this scent free sand, too.

We don't like the baby powder scented litters, so this one is perfect in our household (with four ragdolls) - also because it clumps nicely, doesn't smell at all, don't stick to the fur/paws and is nearly dust-free (with another brand both the cats and us kept sneezing).

No dust, no dragging gravel out of the box

I'm taking off one star for the price, because although the litter clumps well, traps unpleasant odours, and hardly sticks to paws or gets tracked around the floor—especially compared to Benek or Cats Best Sensitive—it's very expensive and not particularly efficient. I didn't notice much dust, and it's easy to clean the litter box when changing all the litter. It doesn't have that typical "concrete" smell like some bentonite litters, and my cat's fur doesn't smell like the litter box after leaving it.

I'm a bit surprised at how differently the quality and especially the dust-free aspect are rated here, and I hope the manufacturer has taken this to heart. I was searching for a dust-free litter for a long time and so far I'm really satisfied. For me, it's currently the best clumping litter. Since it has very small granules, the vacuum cleaner handles it better – a nice bonus. But if it starts to get as dusty as described here, I would switch immediately.

The courier service delivered the product to a different address, under the name of a Marta whom I don't know and who doesn't live in my building. So I've paid for litter that I haven't received.

I was surprised at how well this litter sticks together, without bits breaking off when I scoop out the pee (and poop) from the tray. The tray stays much fresher for a long time (with daily cleaning) compared to the many brands I've tried before (where the pee always seemed to soak into the loose litter more and more).

It doesn’t create much dust or anything like that. But it’s not good when it comes to clumping the poo. I often end up with very small pieces when I try to scoop it up. And ever since I switched from the other litter I used, it sometimes happens that the poo sticks to my cat’s tail or so. Which never happened before. I find it hard to recommend anyone to buy this litter at all. The only slightly good thing is that it doesn’t smell much. Not good!

It really doesn’t get dusty and the trays are fresh. But the clumps could have been firmer; quite often I accidentally broke them when cleaning the trays, which created small crumbs of used cat litter.

My cat has always been very picky with litter, she wouldn’t bury her poo in any of them, but finally we’ve found one she likes. It makes a bit of dust and a tiny bit sticks to her paws and gets spread around the house, but it doesn’t bother us. It clumps really well, and my cat likes it and, at last, she uses it to bury her poo. This is litter for fussy and spoiled cats.

The litter is fine, it clumps well and keeps odours under control.

It really lasts a long time and is great value for money. The wee clumps together and makes big lumps that are easy to remove! It’s quite fine, doesn’t make any dust at all (like, really none at all, which is brilliant!) Sometimes my cats get a bit of it stuck between their little pads and I find a bit around the place, but it’s nothing major. Honestly, I couldn’t have found better, I’ll definitely keep buying it!

Excellent litter, economical and odourless even when it’s hot. I’ve been using it for over 10 years. I highly recommend it.

Definitely the best cat litter on the market today. It doesn’t create dust and lasts an incredibly long time. One bag lasts us 10-12 days for 4 cats.

I’ve tried all kinds of litter and this one is my cat’s favourite! Sure, you’ll find bits all over the house, but it doesn’t make any dust and it’s easy to clean up.

My cat loved it and it also lasts longer than the non-clumping ones... I’ll definitely order it again...

This is the cat litter I always come back to. It just works. Plus, it’s fragrance-free and doesn’t have any added stuff like baby powder...

We are an animal shelter and have been buying this litter by the pallet. Until recently, it was great—no dust at all! Last delivery: it’s dustier than all the other brands! We are very disappointed! Why was it changed?
