I got this cat box for my girl back in 2021 due to moving. Originally I had a standard box but my Norweign forest cat was very uncomfortable in it. So I ordered this as moving with her meant a long drive. I use this now for any of my cats or foster. The fact the top comes clear off and on is great for scared foster kittens at the vets, it's also not as hard to clip back together yes the alignment on the back hooks has to be right but if you leave it up this isn't an issue. Love it.

This cat carrier has a few relly good things going for it: it's roomy, it has a good petting hatch and the way it opens from the top is (could be) brilliant. Sadly, the manufacture lets it down badly. It arrives flat-packed and this has distorted the shape. It's hard to get the lid in place as the shape is off, and never straightened. The closing clamps fall off easily, which isn't helpful when your cat isn't cooperative. Also, the plastic splits. I give 2 stars for design, 1 for usability.

Very cheap looking, not the best quality

The carrier is held together by flimsy plastic clips that have a tendency to fall off, and the door needs to be lined up just right to close, but this takes a good bit of faffing to achieve. I do not trust this carrier to not fall apart while in use. Avoid.

Loved the design and ease of use of this, until the first proper use to vet. The edges of the plastic (on the higher side, with long slits) was so sharp they cut into and removed fur from our poor cats face! So angry this product is allowed. Avoid, especially if your cat rubs against when inside!

Sadly I can’t use this item as there is a piece missing.

The carrier is realy big. Exelent for big cats. My kitten loves it.

Ordered this for my elderly neighbour after going through the options available with her on the site, her cat is semi feral so she wanted a top opening carrier that would be easier to get him into for vet visits. The carrier has two large top openings, and is incredibly light to carry, and she is very happy with it. I had read the other reviews of how fiddly the carrier was to put together, and was delighted to find that the one we ordered came ready assembled. Very happy with it.

I read a lot of reviews on this carrier on different sites before buying. Lots of reviews say it's warped but it's from the way it's packed. The assembly is annoying but it's a great carrier for rabbits once made. I have used it for rabbits, the top opening makes vet trips for rabbits less stressful and easier for getting them in and out. I have a Flemish giant who weighs almost 5kg and it feels secure for his weight. Also easy to secure the carrier by seat belt in the car.

Giving 2 stars because the design isn't stupid. But the plastic is cheap, light-weight and, well, warped. The bottom part and the 2 top ;ids don't fit together properly. It requires quite some fiddling and bending to close the carrier properly.... Just the kind of nonsense you don't wanna deal with when trying to take a disgruntled struggling cat to the vet. Be glad it's sold out, because really: it's no better than a cardboard box.

Really good and big. Easy to assemble. cat went into it a few minutes after I put it on the floor (she is really scared of new things) and she is loving it!

I love it, vet loved it. I can get my 7kg cat in so much more easily. He really fought the front opening carriers that I tried previously. And when going to the vet we don't even have to take the cat out - the vet simply lifts the hatch and has great access. No problem at all with it holding his weight. Yes you do have to take a moment to align the top to the bottom but its totally worth it for the convenience. So good I bought a second for his sister.

sturdy enough for my tubby (heavy) cat who nearly 'hulked' out of the old one and the design of the hatch makes it so much easier to get a protesting cat in it without all the stress. When it arrived i was concerned at the sections didn't line up but it did reshape once clipped together so no issues there

Having read the reviews, I took a chance on this carrier & I am glad I did. Maybe the makers have made it a bit more solid recently as I can say that it's definitely sturdy enough for my 5kg cat. Yes it is fiddily to put together BUT the instructions tell you this! Once you've built it leave it closed for a few days and it will settle into shape making it easy to open and close. My 5kg has plenty of room in this carrier and the opening is fantastic for easy access, no fuss vet visits.

This carrier is great value for money and is a great size if you have a larger cat! Would recommend this to anyone who struggles getting their pet into the carrier as the door is very wide making life a little easier!

I bought my Avior 15 years ago & am looking for an additional one. Sadly, my cat family for whom I originally got it, are deceased. The new generation includes Delilac, who walks right in & sleeps in it, if I leave it out. I have found it the BEST option for traveling across the continent & to/from the vets. I do make sure that it has ban closed with everything properly lined up, especially when others handle it. It has a bit of an alignment issue. As long as one pays attention, it locks tigh

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews about the plastic being so poorly made that it didn't fit together - however after reading the instructions, they state that this will be the case due to how the box is packaged, but once you fiddle about and align, it will line up and fit together. My cats are ragdolls, the bigger one weighing about 6 kilos. She has plenty of room to move around in this, and doesn't hate it anywhere near as much as her previous softer case. Recommend!

A friend just asked if I had a carrier to recommend, and when I came on to send her the link I was really surprised to see such mixed reviews. I'm intrigued whether this is one where it's luck of the draw. I bought one a year and half or so ago. I only have moggies, not large breeds, so this could be the difference. My three have all been in it multiple times and it's totally held its shape - I've had compliments from two vets as well due to the wide front opening. I have two back up carriers just in case, and one cat I literally cannot get in anything but this one. My boy also likes to sit on top of this, as I leave it available at all times (with the front lid removed and stored) so they don't just associate it with the vets. He hasn't bent it yet. Sounds like it's not a sure buy, but if you get a good one I really don't think you'll regret it.

Got this carrier today and it looked great. However when I attempted to assemble it I discovered that the front opening section would not line up correctly and therefore could not be secured properly. I contacted Zooplus and they immediately offered a refund. Very impressed with their customer service if not with the carrier.

Don't think this is cheap/flimsy as others have said. My cat weighs 6kg & I don't feel worried that anything will break/fall apart. It was a bit awkward lining everything up when 1st put together, but nothing a little patience couldn't overcome. Because the front opens up wide it's so much easier to get my boy in & I didn't arrive at the vets scratched & bleeding. Only negative is that underside of the handle is flat & uncomfortable to hold with a heavy cat. Will have to wrap some padding round.
